第一招:还原法
高考命题常以复杂的句型来增加考题的难度,有意给学生造成理解和判断上的困难。面对这种题型,考生要能透过复杂的语言环境,结合语法结构,还原出“庐山真面目”。这样题目就会变得简单,答案就会一目了然。这种结构常为:
1)将疑问句还原为陈述句;
2)将强调句还原为陈述句;
3)将感叹句还原为陈述句;
4)将倒装句还原为正常语序;
5)将被动语态还原为主动语态。
1) 将疑问句还原为陈述句
【典型考题1 】 Was it by cutting down staff _____ she saved the firm?
---No, it was by improving work efficiency.
A. When B. what C. how D. that
【指点迷津】把句子还原成陈述句为it was by cutting down staff _____ she saved the firm.
【典型考题2】
—Mr. Wang, whom would you
rather __ the important meeting?
—Tom.
A. have attend B. have attended
C. having attend D. have to attend
【指点迷津】若将疑问句改为陈述句,就是you would rather have whom attend the important meeting. 其中would rather后必须接动词原形,have sb. do “要某人做某事”。
2) 将强调句还原为陈述句

---Was it by cutting down staff ___
she saved the firm?
---No, it was by improving work
efficiency. (2012上海卷)

【指点迷津】答案是D。问句是一个强调型的一般疑问句,强调方式状语by cutting down staff。把问句还原成陈述句为She saved the firm by cutting down staff,我们就可以看出去掉Was it
…that…,句子成分完整,因此判断该句为强调句。
3) 将感叹句还原为陈述句
【典型考题5 】
___different life today is___ what it
was 30 years ago!
A. How; from B. What a; from C. What; from D. How; with
【指点迷津】这是一个感叹句,如果把句子还原成陈述句Life today is ____different from what it was 30 years 。但是如果本题不用还原法而直接选择则会很容易掉进陷阱B,错选成What a; from。
4) 将倒装句还原为正常语序
【典型考题6】
Never before___ seen anybody who can play tennis as well as
Robert. (2012江西)
A. had she B. she had
C. has she D. she has
【指点迷津】答案是C 。本题考查倒装结构。如果将主句还原为正常语序She has never seen anybody who can play tennis as well as Robert before. 后,可知题干是否定词never位于句首的倒装句,根据语境要求用现在完成时。
5) 将被动语态还原为主动语态
【典型考题7】
Time should be made good use of ___ our lessons well.
A. learning B. learned
C. to learn D. learns
【指点迷津】如果将该题还原为主动句We should make good use of time our lessons ,其后不能再用动名词learning做宾语,应选C项不定式to learn做目的状语。
第二招:加减法
1)添加法
高考命题常使用省略句使考生不易看清句子的结构。对于这类试题,可恢复被省略的成分,使句子的结构变得明朗,进而选择出合适的答案。
