Abstract: Today in the global village, people explore enormous channels munication with
the help of modern technology. More than half a century ago, the invention of radio and television has
already realized the concept of the actual munication more than newspaper has ever done.
The advent of telephone brought unconceivable convenience to munication. No
doubt, the mobile telephone greatly improves the limitation of telephone and brings interpersonal
contact to every corner of the world. SMS, as a remedial medium of mobile phone, also plays
increasingly significant roles in human relationships. When it prevails among the young generation, the
adult world starts to wonder if they have underestimated the negative influence it imparts in the next
generation. Especially in China, where most families have a single child, parents are concerned
specifically with every tiny part of their children’s lives.

为题,联系文化传播的基本理论知识,对这一特殊的信息传播方式的文化与社会学意义进行了多
方面的探讨。这个选题对一名英语专业本科生是一个很大的挑战,因为手机短信是一项普及不到
10 年的新通讯方式,有关理论研究数据都寥寥无几,作者必须独立思考一些非传统文化传播可
以盖涵的问题。手机短信令青少年着迷不已,下一代人之间的联系方式无论是在文体演变还是在
人的行为和思维独立性方面,都必将对社会生活产生复杂的影响。但是,人类大脑之间的信息交
流正在不可逆转地变得密切,这一趋势为作者所肯定,其中的文化意义具有更深的启示作用。(点
