摘要
奥古斯特·威廉·施莱格尔(1767-1845)是德国浪漫主义初期的领军人物,他不
仅在美学、建筑学、语言学、文艺批评等方面造诣颇深,而且在翻译领域也颇有建树,
堪称是一位出色的翻译家和翻译理论家。他坚持“翻译一切”,并主张“翻译既要忠实
原文又要体现诗意”。他的这一主张成为西方翻译理论最重要的思想资源之一。
本文通过史料分析、归纳等研究方法,系统梳理施莱格尔的诗化翻译观,旨在揭示
其诗化翻译观的精髓及其对德国乃至西方翻译理论所做出的贡献。
论文首先简要介绍施莱格尔的生平及其学术成就,并对其翻译方面的成就着重进行
分析。其次,全面、系统梳理施莱格尔的诗化翻译观,探讨其翻译观的内涵意义。论文
第三部分论述施莱格尔诗化翻译观产生的来源。第四部分对其诗化翻译观指导下的翻译
作品进行分析,同时指出其翻译作品的不足之处。本文的结论是:施莱格尔的诗化翻译
观体现了翻译的最高境界,即“诗”化的翻译。翻译的关键不在于对原文的语言及内容
进行表层的模仿,而在于深入挖掘原文的精髓,用艺术语言创造出一种新的诗意效果。

Abstract
August Wilhelm Schlegel (1767-1845) is an outstanding leader of early German
Romanticism. He contributed a lot to the development of many fields, such as aestheticism,
architecture, linguistics, literary criticism, and so on. Meanwhile, Schlegel gained himself the
identity of an influential translator and translation theorist. He insisted on ‗translating
everything‘, and advocated that translation should be ‗both faithful and poetic‘. His
translation philosophy has e one of the most important ideological resources of western
translation theory.
This thesis, by the method of induction and deduction, makes a systematic study of
Schlegel‘s philosophy of poetic translation, with the purpose of revealing the essence and
implication of Schlegel‘s translation thought, and providing an evidence of his contribution to
western translation theory.
