About the Author
e Agg´elou, ., ., ., is currently
a staff member of the Greek Ministry of Trans-
port munications, Headquarters—General
Directorate of Air Navigation, Electronics Division—
munication Facilities Section. For 5 years, he
was Assistant Professor of Electronic and Electrical
Engineering at the Institute of Technology in Greece,
and the Director of G-Alpha ms, pany
that builds next-generation works for enter-
prises and industry. Dr. Agg´elouis also the cofounder
of Mobile merce Technologies, Ltd., in London.
He has been involved in the standardization of wire-
working for many years, first as a researcher
at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York,
and then as a team leader at Cisco Systems in London.
He is also the author of the book Mobile Ad -
works: From Wireless LANs to works, published
by McGraw-Hill in 2004. Dr. Agg´elouwas the recipient
of the London-based RACAL Prize for Research Excel-
lence in 2000.
