Abstract
Since the 21st century, along with the development of economy, compared to the highways
transport, Water transport and other traditional transports, the advantages of air transport e
obvious, and the development of air transport pulling the development of the airport and the
surrounding region, where have special economic activity. The expansion of Airport will bring job
opportunities, further making a significant contribution to development of economic in the region.
Therefore, Airport was defined as the "national and regional economic growth engine” by Airports
Council International. By full use of the airport's resources, as a new economic form, Airport
Economic Zone is also with a robust development momentum. Whether Airport Economic Zone
industry development planning is reasonable or not, it will play a great influence on the economic
development of airport.
The Airport Economic Zone has been overlooked for a long time in China. From the national
level, the construction of airport economic zone has not generally pay attention by China’s
government. That is because of the development stage of the whole economic situation and the civil
aviation industry. The government function has an irreplaceable role in the industrial planning of
airport economic zone. Therefore, through to the research of relevant theories in airport economic
zone industrial planning and government function, and on the basis of summarize and reference in
current situation to domestic and international Airport Economic Zone and the essful experience,
This paper presents the government function orientation in the planning process of Airport Economic
Zone industry construction. Government should formulate appropriate development goals, policies
and measures to promote the development of airport economic zone, thus accelerating the
development of regional economic.
