[摘要] 改革开放以来,莆田市道路运输业不断取得新的突破,不断提高网络化水平,提升运输能力和技术水平,道路运输货物量继续增加,旅客周转量持续增长,随着铁路的开进,道路运输将面临新的机遇,运输业务活动,经营状况不断向好。莆田市的道路运输基础设施较往年明显改善,覆盖率拓展到农村地段,整体服务能力都有较大提高,基本实现了村村通。莆田市道路运输装备不断向重型化,专用化,直达,快速,中高级客车,运营能力持续稳步增长。提高道路运输能力将极大的提升莆田市海峡西岸经济区的地位,并加快现代物流业发展,深化莆台两岸交流合作。但是,莆田市道路运输目前也存在许多问题,基础设施还是不够完善,运输能力和水平还不高,与其他运输方式衔接不够紧密。对于服务现代物流行业意识还很薄弱,物流服务水平低,物流设施,还跟不上配套,管理技术和手段还很落后。这些也是目前国内主要问题,必须加快建设通行能力大的道路,加快规范道路运输市场,管理好道路运输,完善好物流园区道路运输能力,加快建设物流配套服务,大力发展绿色道路运输。
