高效率大负载降压型DC-DC转换器的研究与设计

摘要
作为电子产品中不可或缺的部分,电源管理芯片在朝着高效率、大负载的方
向发展。基于西安电子科技大学科研项目“深亚微米数模混合电源管理类集成电路
设计及关键技术研究”,笔者承担了高效率大负载降压型 DC-DC 转换器的关键技
术研究,设计并实现了一款性能优良的电源管理芯片 XD1028。
论文首先对电源管理类芯片的背景知识进行了描述与探讨。接着对降压型
DC-DC 转换器的基本结构、工作原理和一些关键技术进行了详细分析和具体研
究,制定了 XD1028 的特性指标,进行了子模块电路的设计实现及仿真验证,最
后给出了芯片的整体版图结构、整体仿真波形和投片后的测试波形。
论文在分析提高芯片全负载的转换效率的方法、比较和选择环路调制模式、
分析环路稳定性等方面做了详细地分析和描述。论文的重点在于关键子模块的设
计、仿真与芯片整体版图验证。
笔者在工作站上利用 Hspice 等工具对 XD1028 进行了详细的仿真验证,并在
国外某 CMOS 工艺线上进行了投片验证。仿真和测试结果证明:XD1028
的各项指标符合设计要求,芯片整体性能表现优良,转换效率高达 96%,负载可
达 5A 以上。

Abstract
As an indispensable part of electronic products, power management chip is
developing towards high efficiency and big load current. On the basis of the project
“Theoretical Research and Design of Key Technology for Deep-submicron Power
Management IC and Mixed IC”, the key technology study of Buck DC-DC is proposed
and a high performance power management chip XD1028 is presented.
Firstly, the background knowledge of power management chip is described and
discussed in this paper. Then the basic structure, working principle and key
technologies of Buck DC-DC are analyzed in detail. After that, the index of XD1028 is
settled and the sub-circuits are designed, which have been simulated. At last, the layout
structure and the whole chip test results are proposed.
This work does detailed analysis and description of the following aspects, the
methods of improving the conversion efficiency at the whole load, choosing the loop
modulation mode, setting performance index of the chip. This paper focuses on the
design and simulation of the key sub-blocks and design verification of the layout.
