摘要
在二十世纪上半叶新旧之交的历史时期,中国现代文学的作品中涉及到作为“不肖
子”的生命个体的诸方面的因素,在“不肖子”这一形象身上就集中展现了现代中国传
统文化自身发展过程中,在人与社会、家庭的关系中一种复杂而深刻的命运纠缠。本文
以现代文学中的“不肖子”形象为研究对象,通过对“不肖子”形象内涵的界定、具体
文本的解读及相关文献资料的分析,把“不肖子”作为家族中的一个特殊群体,从文化
转型这一视角,通过对“不肖子”类型、文学形象复杂性成因等方面的透视,探讨其悲
剧的成因、内涵,解读其悲剧生命的意义。正是在时代文化的语境作用下,现代作家自
身对于家族的爱恨难舍的复杂感情、对传统文化的思考、对现实人生的体悟这些因素共
同参与了对“不肖子”形象的塑造,展示了“不肖子”形象的复杂性与矛盾性。在现代
文学中,“不肖子”身上是集“不肖”与“不不肖”于一身的。“不肖子”以其独特的家
庭地位、鲜明的形象表征、复杂的性格内涵,构成了具有浓厚的民族文化内涵的悲剧形
象典型。“不肖子”的悲剧可以归结为“无用的人”的悲剧、受难人的悲剧和孤独者的
悲剧。通过“不肖子”文学形象,我们具体感受到其悲剧性同时也真正地看到了个体人
的生命、个体人性弱点的展示。
