在历史上,典当曾在社会经济发展及人们的日常生活中起过重要的作用。现代典当业在金融体系中总体上处于独立、边缘和弱势的地位,起一种弥补不足、调剂余缺的作用。在当今社会中,典当作为一种快捷方便的融资工具,其特点和优势得以显现和发挥,整个行业也迎来一个新的发展机遇。随着金融经济体制改革的不断深化和社会主义市场经济机制的日趋发育成熟与完善,中国的金融市场必将进一步扩大和活跃,典当作为新的融资方式也将向前发展。这一发展态势,是国家经济发展方针和市场经济规律所决定的。因此,对其进行专门研究具有重大的理论和现实意义。
本文考察了当前形势下浙江典当业现实状况,论述了在新的发展阶段浙江中小企业进行典当融资时的业务流程及其特点,揭示了当前浙江中小企业所面临的主要问题,并分析了其成因及对解决这些问题提出了一些对策性的建议。本文旨在通过对典当融资方式的研究,力求把典当这一融资方式的真实面目展现出来,并进一步探讨浙江中小企业用如何使用它。

Abstract
Pawn once played a very important part in the economic development and daily life of the people in the past. Modern pawn is generally independent, sub stream in the finance system, playing a coordinative part. In modern society, as a prompt and convenient tool, pawn is ing more advantageous, and the whole industry is confronting a new development opportunity. With constant promotion of the economic system maturity and perfecting of the socialist market economy mechanism, financial market of China will expand and be active further. Pawn regarded as the new financing way will further develop. This developing state is determined by the national economic developing policy and economic law of the market. Therefore, the research on pawn has great theoretical and realistic meaning.
This paper investigated the actual situation of the pawn industry in Zhejiang, argued about the business procedure and feature of pawn in the new developing period for the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of Zhejiang, released the main problems of the SMEs of Zhejiang, analyzed the reason of the problems, and proposed some strategic suggestions. The paper aims to show the true appearance of the pawns financing through the study on it, and discuss further how to use it for the SMEs of Zhejiang.
