【内容摘要】党的十七大在部署经济建设、政治建设以及党的建设等各项任务时,多次强调社区工作,深刻阐述了社区建设与全面建设小康社会的密切关系。报告中明确提出:要“完善城市居民自治,建设管理有序、文明祥和的新型社区。”居民社区参与是促进社区建设与发展内在动力和实现社区自治的关键,并在社区、政治、社会等层面上有着重要功能。因此必须提高我国居民社区参与有效性,通过培养社区意识,发展社区社团组织,主动请居民来参与社区建设和管理,保证居民自我管理、自我教育、自我服务的实现。本文以某某社区为例,从社区自治的解析入手,对社区自治的内涵及其意义进行了简要的概括,随后探讨了居民参与社区自治的现状,并针对相关问题提出了具体对策。
