文档介绍:英文 In? uence and mechanism of N-(3-oxooxtanoyl)-L-homoserine lactone (C8-oxo-HSL) on bio ? lm behaviors at early stage Siqing Xia1, ?, Lijie Zhou1, Zhiqiang Zhang1, Jixiang Li2 1. State Key Laboratory of Pollution Control and Resource Reuse, Tongji University, Shanghai 200092, China 2. Sustainable Technology Research Center, Shanghai Advanced Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shanghai 201210, China Received 17 February 2012; revised 01 May 2012; accepted 10 May 2012 Abstract N-acyl-homoserines quenching, enzymatic quenching of bacterial quorum sensing, has recently applied to mitigate bio ? lm in membrane bioreactor. However, the e? ect of AHLs on the behavior of bio ? lm formation is still sparse. In this study, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bio ? lm was formed on ultra- ? ltration membrane under a series of N-(3-oxooxtanoyl)-L-homoserine lactone (C8-oxo-HSL) concentrations. Di? using C8-oxo-HSL increased the growth rate of cells on bio ? lm where the concentration of C8-oxo-HSL was over 10?7 g/L. The C8-oxo-HSL gradient had no observable in? uence on cell density and extracellular polymeric substances of bio ? lm with over 10?7 g/L C8-oxo-HSL. Surprisingly, 10? 11–10?8 g/L of C8-oxo-HSL had noe? ect on cell growth in liquid culture. The cell analysis demonstrated that the quorum sensing system might enhance the growth of neighboring cells in contact with surfaces into bio ? lm and may in? uence the structure anization of bio ? lm.
