This paper analyzes the reason for the formation of soft ground, and according to the actual situation of soft ground, put forward some commonly used treatment method, the merits of the soft foundation treatment, the quality of the relationship to the whole project. Reasonable soft foundation treatment, the upper structure design, thus to mitigate the effects of weak foundation in engineering construction, improve the quality of the project, obtain good economic benefit and social benefit. In addition to the traditional processing methods, this article also puts forward some new processing methods, and some methods of sustainable development
