Life of Henry James
Born in a wealthy cultured family in New York
His father is a philosopher and theologian ;
Father encouraging children to familiarize themselves with all kinds of thoughts and things, to make their own judgment, to cultivate independent thinking;
Brother William James is also a famous philosopher, psychologist, and founder of utilitarianism.

In 1855,when James was 12,the family embarked on a three-year tour of Europe that included London , Paris , Geneva.
In 1875 settled in his ideal home –Paris.
Then he went to London. Many famous writers of that period, accepted him as a friend and appreciated his books.
In 1915,he became British subject.
In 1916,he died in London.
