On November 27, 2009,
China proposed at the State Council executive meeting
that it would reduce CO2 emissions per unit of GDP
by 40% to 45% on the basis of 2005,
and made a solemn commitment to the world
at World Climate Conference in Copenhagen.

Development of green building will to maximize the usage of
energy, land, water and materials. It can reduce pollution,
protect the environment and make life healthier
Safe and more comfortable. It is not only a major issue in changing
the construction mode and urban development patterns,
but also directly related to the direct and long-term interests
of the people and country. China is at a critical stage for
accelerating industrialization, urbanization and new rural
development, and green buildings are facing great opportunities.
We should make good use of such opportunities and
promote "Green Building Action" comprehensively from
perspective of planning, regulation, technology, standards
and design.
