She was Dr. Sun Yat’s wife, one of the top leaders in modern Chinese history. She concerned herself with welfare projects, leading China Welfare projects, especially the China Welfare Institute for women and children.
She was the only female monarch (君主）of China. She loved in Tang Dynasty. She ruled the empire(帝国) for over half a century.
In the year 1903, she and another scientist were awarded the Noble Prize in Physics for their discovery of radium (镭). On July 4,1934, she died in Paris, killed by her own experiments. She died of radiation Poisoning(放射物中毒）.
