Thoughts on the design:
本课时为 Reading 部分的第一课时，阅读篇章是一份有关于联合国介绍和亲善大使工
作的演讲稿。在这个课时中，利用听和读的手段， 向学生介绍有关于联合国的基本信息，以
及作为联合国亲善大使的责任和主要工作。因此， 在教学时， 可以通过段落阅读， 寻找有效
信息点的方式， 提高学生的有效阅读能力； 并且可以在介绍一些众所周知的项目和组织的基
础上，要求学生设计自己的“联合国之路” 。
Teaching aims:
After learning Task, the students will be able to:
Introduce the UN and its principles and goals to other people;
Understand the necessity of the existence of the UN;
Feel it an honor to work for the UN.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Listen and Read: Listen to Paragraph 1-2
Listen to the first and second paragraph and answer questions 1-5 which provide basic information
about the UN.

以选择题的方式帮助学生在听完第一段之后回忆所听内容， 并根据自己已有常识进行判断和选择。这个环节突出“听” ，而把读的任务简化为选择题的选项。
Step 2 Listen and Discuss： Listen to Paragraph 3 and Paragraph 6

Talk about the ways of UN dealing with wars and conflicts.
