Meanwhile, inter-city rapid railway stations will e on e of the most important districts in the development along t he rail lines. The article analyzes the status quo and the plan, the opportunities and threats of the transportation in the Yangtze delta region, and puts forward the approaches of the planning and design in the inter-cit y rapid railway st ation districts. Keywords: Yangtze delta metropolitan area Inter-city rapi d railway Station districts Planning and design approaches 1 长三角区域城际轨道交通规划概述 全球经济一体化背景下的现代城市间的竞争已上升为区域间的竞争,在推进区域一体化发展战略的指导下,长三角城镇群已被列为提高国家竞争力的重要增长极。区域一体化进程加速和经济高速发展使区域内的人流、物流、信息流猛增,交通作为承载这些“流”的载体,重要性不言而喻。目前, 长三角高速公路网络建设初见成效,已有效连接了区域内各大城市。尽管如此,公路建设依然跟不上经济飞速发展所带来的巨大交通需求,因此,大容量区域快速城际轨道交通(以下简称城际快轨)网络的建设和完善显得十分必要。现已获批、立项或提上议事日程的城际快轨项目日益增加,旨在建
