Dear Sirs,
Claims for Poor Packing
We are regretful to inform you that the Poplin covered by our Order No. 5413 and shipped per s/s Queen arrived in such an unsatisfactory condition that we have to lodge a claim against you. It was found upon examination that nearly 30% of the packages had been broken, obviously due to insufficient packing. The only recourse in consequence, was to have them repacked before delivering to our customers, which inevitably resulted in extra expenses amounting to $765. We trust you understand the inconvenience caused by it and meanwhile expect pensation for this.
We should like to remind that special care be taken in your future deliveries for prospective customers are liable to misjudge the quality of your goods by the poor packing.
