Show students some pictures of famous places of interests, such as Big Ben, Eiffel Tower, Sidney Opera House and Statue of Liberty, and ask them which cities they are located in, then move to the next step naturally.

Step munication and Discussion--Do You Know These Places? (35 minutes)
Divide students into groups of 4, hand out materials with places of interest under the following categories respectively; ask each group to draw one category. Let students ask each other details about the places. If they do not know what sentence structures they can use, ask them to refer to the Language Focus Box on Page 96 and 97, and Useful Expressions for Describing Places on Page 94 and 95.
