The Brazilian-born striker moved to Croatia at the age of
15 and took Croatian nationality in 2002. By the start of the
2007/08 season Eduardo had netted seven times in 12 internationals, including a goal against England in the Euro 2008 qualifiers.
He is even more prolific at club level, scoring 73 goals in
104 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb and winning two Croatian league titles before moving to Emirates Stadium on a four-year contract in July 2007.
