《统计学》是一门面向所有经济、管理类专业本科生开设的一门通识教育课；一般在第四学期或第五学期开设（注：须在学完《概率论与数理统计》课程之后）；共3学分，教学时数为48或54学时。
（三）适用对象

《统计学》适用于经济、管理类各专业本科生；适用专业有审计、国审、会计、财管、金融、投资、保险、信用、经济、国贸、财政、税务、市场营销、工商管理、工程管理、人力资源、电子商务、信息管理、行政管理等。
（四）先修课程与知识准备
先修课程有《微积分》《线性代数》《概率论与数理统计》《西方经济学》《管理学》和《计算机基础》等；具备初步的统计常识。
二、课程简介
统计学作为一门研究如何收集、整理、显示和分析数据的方法论科学，主要目的在于教给学生如何运用科学的统计理论和方法从数量方面认识客观事物发展变化的规律性。学生通过系统地学****统计基本知识、基本理论和方法，掌握科学认识事物数量规律性的入门钥匙，并为掌握其他学科知识以及毕业后从事的工作奠定基础。
在日常社会经济活动中，人们对任何事物都可以从定性和定量两个方面加以分析，而在现代经济管理、经济决策中，人们越来越重视对客观事物的数量分析。统计作为一种有效的数量分析工具，早已渗透到社会经济的方方面面，人们的工作、学****和生活都离不开统计。

本课程主要内容有统计的基本概念、数据的搜集、数据的图表展示、数据的概括性度量、参数估计、假设检验、方差分析、回归分析、时间序列分析和预测、统计指数等。
高等财经院校经济、管理类各专业承担着为社会培养各类经济管理人才的重任，这些专业所培养的学生能否熟练地利用统计知识和方法解决实际工作中遇到的数量分析问题，是衡量其办学质量的重要尺度之一。因此，统计学在高等财经院校的课程体系中占有十分重要的地位。
