Abstract—To reveal the spatial variability of soil heavy metals
under the influence of urban expansion, Yingxing city of Jiangsu II. SAMPLE POINTS LAYOUT AND MEASURE ANALYSIS
province was selected as study area. Three transects were
arranged in the urban-rural ecotone. 24 surface soil samples were A. Sstudy area overview
collected. And the contents of heavy metals including Hg、Pb、 Yixing City is located in Yangtze River Delta region
Cu and Zn were measured and analyzed. The results were as which is Chinese most economically developed region, and is
follows: (1) Hg contamination and Pb, Cu accumulation the triangle center of Jiangsu Province, the southern shore of
phenomenon had taken place in soil of some area of urban-rural
Taihu Lake and Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou. With a terrain
ecotone; (2) Urban expansion had more influence on Hg content
and Pb content than Cu content and Zn content. Also the formers of high level in south and low in north, it can be divided into
had plex spatial distributions; (3) The contents of Hg, three major landform unites, namely low mountains, hills and
Pb and Cu were
