My thesis has been finished by now, and here, I would like to express my deepest
thanks to my parents, teachers, and my dear friends for what they have done for me.
First, I would say thanks to my supervisor Professor Yu Hongwei, who has
offered me valuable suggestions in the academic studies. In the preparation of the
thesis, he spent much time reading through each draft and provided me with inspiring
advice. Without her patient instruction, insightful criticism and expert guidance, the
completion of this thesis would not have been possible.
Second, I’m grateful for all my colleague teachers, their rigorous attitude
towards studies and chariness and responsibility in work teach me a lot.
Third, my thanks will go to my friends and classmates for their help. Living and
studying with them in colleague is such a valuable treasure, which I will cherish
forever.

Abstract
For the past few decades, language researchers and teachers have placed more
and more emphasis onto the individuals’ differences of the language learners,
including affect, which is one of the most important factors of individual differences.
Having attracted more and attention, affective factors have been the subjects of many
studies, which were carried out from different aspects of affect. Attaching importance
to the effect and influence of the affect factors in the process of students’ language
learning can contribute to improving the learning efficiency and success. It is the
desired and ideal states for students to learn with happy mood. However, things do not
