内容摘要
网络表情符号是网络非言语传播中的图形符号，通常由字符、图形、文字等
组成，它以视觉图像为核心元素，承担了网络交际中非语言传播的功能。相较于
虚拟空间内的文字表达，网络表情符号使得交流变得富有情趣而增强了交际效
果，并且，网络表情符号还能表达言语所难以形容的情绪和感情，或掩盖在语言
下真实的内心与态度。
网络表情符号的兴起与流变有着诸多原因和意义，它是网民交际的内在心理
需要，也是视觉文化发展趋势与读图时代表达和审美需要，更是新一代网民在虚
拟世界里寻求身份认同和自我价值实现的需要。此外，客观意义上，网络表情符
号作为一种网络亚文化也有助于社会的整合。同时，文章也指出了三点反思：认
知假象与真实情感传递的虚弱化、传播中必然存在的双重偶然性、不健康信息的
管控。
在对网络表情符号延展空间的展望中，文章提出了其发展趋势的推测。尤其
对其商业价值的上，除了提出动漫化及产业化的判断，更提出了它与广告、新媒
体创意的密切关系和几种模式。在社会文化意义上，网络表情符号也注定为网民
的亚文化代言。

Abstract
Emoticon is a graphic symbol of non-verbal communication in network, usually
composed by characters, graphics, text, etc. It take visual image as the core element,
and bear the function of the non-verbal communication in the network communication.
Compared to words within the virtual space, the emoticons makes communication
become interesting and enhance the communication effect, what’s more, the
emoticons can express words difficult to describe the emotions and feelings, or really
attitude what hiding under the language.
The rise and development of emoticons has a number of reasons and meanings. It
is the need of intrinsic psychological in internet communication, is also a
development trend in visual culture, and the need of expression and aesthetic in era of
picture-reading. What’s more, it is also the need of a new generation of Internet users
in the virtual world seeking of identity and self value realization. Furthermore,
objective sense, emoticons as a internet subculture can also contribute to social
integration. At the same time, the article also points out the three reflection: cognitive
illusion and real emotion transfer virtual weakening, the double contingency in
communication that must exist，the control of unhealthy information.
In looking for emoticons extending space, the article puts forward its development
