Li Hongchang
Li Hongzhang (February 15, 1823 – November 7, 1901) was a politician, general, and diplomat of the late Qing Empire
Early life and career
He formed an army called the Waigun (淮***). He also hired an army commanded by foreigners which called “Ever Victorious Army〞.
With this support Li gained numerous victories leading to the surrender of Suzhou. And finally defeated the rebels.
