Methods: From 2003 to 2008,there were 53 patients who had undergone the intraoral prominent mandibular angle reduction under local preventive measures were induced to prevent the plications: 1,Doctors and patients municate with each other to reset ,The local anesthesia were safer especially inlocal clinics. 3,plete separation(degloVing)should be always remember. 4,The grinding skill should be ,The masseter muscle should be retained toreduce ,The lips should be protected in asoft way of pulling. Results: Since 2005,the sixpreventive measures have been used inthe 37 cases and the satisfied results achieved without plications. Conclusion: plications ofthe prominent mandibular angle reduction could beavoided,and the six preventive measures should be adopted in clinical practice as standardization ofoperations.
