文档介绍:Hair Care Primary Ingredients ? Alkanolamides and Promidiums – Foam and viscosity control, fragrance solubilization ? Cationic Phospholipids : – Anti-microbial and conditioning cleansers ? Amphoterics – Ultra Mild Cleansers ? Cationic Silicones – Substantive Softening ? Mono Alkyl Phosphates (MAP) – Ultra Mild Anionics ? Conditioners/Softeners – Tissue and Skin Alkanolamides Alkanolamides products are widely used in most cleansing products but we will focus first on a Alkanolamide -free product that perfoms just like alkanolamides . This chemistry falls under our Promidium platform. Promidium chemistry was designed for replacing DEA amides in formulations as “ drop-in ” replacements, without loosing any performance benefits from DEA amides. We will talk more on the next slide about the benefits of these particular amides. Uniqema also offers the DEA and MEA amides which will be covered shortly. Promidiums can be used in a wide array of applications ranging from: simple shampoos, moisturizing bodywashes , mild facial cleansers, hair color treatments, etc ……….. Promidium History ? Promidium surfactants were developed by MONA in response to concerns raised by the use of DEA amides in shampoos and other toiletries. They were designed to provide an easy-to- process liquid surfactant that was free of amine, capable of offering “ near drop-in ” performance in replacing traditional liquid alkanolamide surfactants. The Promidium series offered excellent niche performance, but thus far have been unable to replace DEA amides universally. Uniqema is now offering a 2nd Generation Promidium that is a direct drop in replacement for DEA Amides called Promidium 2. Promidium Surfactants Use-Properties and Benefits – 100% Active Light-colored Liquid Products – Easy to Process and Formulate – Excellent Viscosity Control – Foam Stabilization – Solubilization of Fragrances and Various Solid Actives – Effective Emulsification / Choice of HLB –
