摘 要
杰克·韦尔奇曾说:“如果你在供应链运作上不具备竞争优势,就干脆不要竞争。”英国管理学者克里斯多夫(Martin christopher)更进一步强调供应链的重要性,他说:“市场上只有供应链而没有企业,21世纪的竞争不是企业和企业之间的竞争,而是供应链和供应链之间的竞争。”从1984年至今的20多年间,戴尔由美国得克萨斯大学一年级的学生起家一跃成为如今能与惠普、IBM等著名企业争雄的PC企业巨头。一度创造了在PC业行情低迷的情况下却仍能成功获利的奇迹,这在很大程度上得益于戴尔的“直销原则”。然而戴尔不等于“直销”。本文解析从戴尔供应链模式开始,依次介绍戴尔成功的原因,戴尔供应链所蕴含的深刻内涵,戴尔供应链的实施方式以及戴尔目前所遭遇的瓶颈等,并针对其成功的经验提出对我国物流管理的启示。

Abstract
