Dear friends, On December 14th, 2015, Tu Youyou, China’s woman scientist, was awarded the Nobel Prize in medicine in Sweden for her discovery that helped cut the malaria death rates. As a scientist, she faced the challenge bravely and devoted her whole life to her research. It was hard work and determination that brought her to success. In spite of her great achievements, she remains modest, caring little about being famous or rich. What a great woman! Her devotion to work moved me so deeply that I am determined to study harder, so that I can contribute to the development of our country. Thanks for listening.
