Academic writing is in essence a reproduction of the whole research process, which exudes an air of internal logic and reasoning by virtue of a well-organized structure.
Academic writing consists of five chapters: introduction, review of literature, methodology, results as well as conclusions, interpretations and implications.
Introduction is composed of need for the study, purpose of the study, research question, hypotheses, definitions of terms, significance of the study and organization of the study. Need for the study expounds the reason why this specific study is needed. Also need for the study is, to some extent, a gap-filling process in that it reviews what has been achieved and what has not been achieved. Purpose of the study means the aim and target of this specific research. Research question should be precise and exact, which means it could be answered by yes or no. Hypothesis is a supposition of the research question raised in this specific study. Null hypothesis and directional hypothesis are two kinds of hypotheses. Equivocation and ambiguity is not tolerated in definitions of terms, instead, the jargon and professional terms cited in this study should be of high precision and clarity. Significance of the study illustrates the merits and values of this research. At the same time, significance of the study elaborates who will ben
