﹡整合医疗卫生资源，在对公共卫生投入的同时兼顾对医疗机构的投入，建立政府对医疗机构的补偿机制，使公共卫生和医疗事业同步协调；
﹡积极发展民间组织，发动社会力量支持残疾人事业的发展，适当提高残疾人生活保障水平；
﹡积极探索和谐社区建设的量化指标，做好物业纠纷协调等具体工作，促进和谐社区建设；
﹡加快平房区改造步伐，努力缩小居民的生活与居住条件的差距；
﹡紧抓奥运机遇，加大城市环境综合治理力度，健全完善长效工作机制；
﹡进一步加大对弱势群体的帮扶力度。
二、审查批准了《东城区人民代表大会常务委员会工作报告》
代表们认为，三年来，区人大常委会以邓小平理论和“三个代表”重要思想为指导，坚持科学发展观和构建社会主义和谐社会两大执政方略，全面落实《中共全国人大常委会党组关于进一步发挥全国人大代表作用，加强全国人大常委会制度建设的假设干意见》和市、区人大工作会议精神，在中共东城区委的领导下，紧紧围绕全区中心任务，服务改革发展稳定大局,为促进我区经济建设、政治建设、文化建设、社会建设的全面协调发展做出了不懈的努力和积极的奉献。
