电容的作用：电容器是一种能存储电能原件。其特性是：通交流、隔直流、通高频、阻低频、有信号的耦合。交流旁路电流滤波，谐振选频等。标志方法：①直接标志②文字符号法③数字表示法④色标法 检测用R/1K和R/100档对其进行放电处理，然后再进行测量。瓷介电容器（CC型）在介质表面上燃烧银层做电极。其特点是结构简单、绝缘性好、但其机械强度低容量不大。瓷介电容适用于在高频高压中和温度补偿电路中；电解电容是氧化膜具有单向导电性和较高的介质强度。所以电解电容在使用中一旦极性接反，则通过气内部的电流过大，导致其过热击穿，温度升高产生的气体会引起电容器外壳破裂。
二极管的作用：二极管具有单向导电性，其有PN结也可以作为开关，发光二极管（LED）和普通二极管工作原理一样正向发光导通反向电压截止，在放置二极管时要注意正负极。

对元器的前期准备
在拿到套件后，首先检查一下元器件是否与下面的元器件清单相符，例如清单给出的电阻值与色标是否相同，电容、电解是否相符，还有各种元器件的数目是否相等，这些都是基本的检查工作。检查完这后再用万用表检测各器件的性能参数与技术与标准对照看是否完好。
