Step 4 Summary: In this period, we have read and analyze the structure of the text and select
some useful expressions. In next period we shall explain the language points and some useful
expressions.
Second period (2 hours)
Step 1 Language points’ usage (Explain the usage of the following language points we made a
list of during the last period)
Teaching method: explanation, translation, making sentences
Teaching aids: Multimedia
Step2 Devices
1) Deduction Organization(演绎法)(From general to specific)
2) Sequence of Time and Space (时空顺序法)
3) Comparison and Contrast(对比法)
Teaching method: Explanation, scanning for examples
Teaching aids: textbook, multimedia
Step 3 Summary: In this period, we have learnt the use of some language points and the main
devices used in this passage, read the passage yourself after class, if you can find more
examples in the passage of these devices.
Step 4 Assignment:
1) Write a passage about your own English learning experience with some of the language
points in this passage.
2) Preview Section B
Third Period (1 hour)
Step 1 Passage Comprehension (13 m
