0.5mLwasintraperitoneallyinjectedtotheratsfromthe2treatmentgroups.In2hlater,NSor30mg/mL
NSof0.5mLwerepouredintotheratbladderfromtheinfusiongroupsandthenpreservedinthebladderfor
30min.Allratsweretreated3timeseveryweekforamonth.Raturodynamicurodynamictest,HEstaining
andbladderwetweightwasusedtomeasureratbladderinflammationindex,edemaandmastcellinfiltration.
WesternblottingwasusedtodetecttheexpressionofratbladderinflammatorycytokinesTNFαandIL6.
Results NACtreatmentresultedinbetterurodynamicparameters(contractionintermittence330.02±69.49s),
bladderinflammationindex(1.37±0.91),andinfiltratedmastcells(1.93±134)whencomparedwithPS
infusiongroup(161.32±58.17s,2.75±0.46,3.40±2.19,P<0.01).Westernblottingshowedthe
expressionofTNFαandIL6wasalsoreducedinthebladderofNACtreatmentgroup(P<0.01).Conclu
sion NACcanattenuatePSinducedcystitisinrats,whichmaybeduetoitsreducingthemastcellinfiltration
anddownregulatingTNFαandIL6.
