2. 承担社会责任,塑造企业的形象和声誉。20世纪50年代中期以后关于企业社会责任(Corporate Social Responsibility) 问题的讨论一直都是西方经济学界和管理学界的热门话题,如当时著名的Sears Roebuck企业的主管Robert Wood作为倡导企业社会责任的先行者曾指出:一个企业除了是一个经济机构,同时还应是一个社会机构,企业除了关心自身财务业绩外,还应该履行其应尽的社会责任。随着企业伦理观念逐渐深入人心,20世纪80年代以后,越来越多的西方企业开始顺应公众对其所肩负的社会责任的期待,并将所承担的社会服务项目推广到教育、公共健康、就业福利以及环境资源保护等更广阔的社会领域。
