《市政府关于加强部门统计工作通知》（盐政发[2008]85号）和《区政府关于切实加强统计工作的通知》（[2008]77号）精神，切实强化基层统计基础工作，做到既重视统计结果，又重视统计过程，更重视统计投入，着力为统计工作的顺利开展营造良好的环境，努力使统计工作成为促进全街道经济社会科学发展的有力支持和保障。
一是加强组织领导。成立了由街道办事处主任为组长，分管副书记为副组长，财政所、统计站、人力中心、农经中心、项目办、规模以上工业企业等单位负责人为成员的领导小组。领导小组分工到人，责任明确，并不定期召开统计工作例会，及时协调解决工作中出现的问题，确保统计工作的顺利开展。各村居、各部门、各企业分别成立主要负责人为组长的统计工作领导小组，具体负责本单位的日常统计工作，确保统计政策和各项工作要求落到实处。
二是健全统计网络。街道统计站实行了“一合三统一”的统计工作运行模式，做到一二三产统计人员在统计站合署办公；统计资料由统计站统一收集，统计经费由财政统一安排，统计数据由统计站统一提供。全街道各类定报企业单位通过培训、筛选，共配备40余名专兼职统计员，明确街道各部门、各村（居）统计人员一律由会计辅导员和总帐会计兼任；对部门、村居的统计人员实行津贴制度，每人每月补贴通讯费30元，由街道财政和各单位年终统一发放。

三是改善办公条件。在街道办公用房十分紧张的情况下，专门安排两间办公室由统计站使用，占全街道行政办公室的1/10。工作人员挂牌办公，配有2部专用电话、5台电脑，并与上级统计部门联网，统计工作经费实报实销，保证了统计工
