Clearance on the Structural Characteristics of
Twin-screw Compressor Rotors*

Abstract: In order to study the effect of clearance on the structural characteristics of the screw rotor of the
twin-screw compressor and to avoid the interference and wear of the rotor, numerical simulation calculations were
carried out for the influence of the tooth tip clearance and the inter-tooth clearance on the structural characteristics
of the screw rotor in the twin-screw compressor. The research results show that with the increase of the tooth tip
clearance and the inter-tooth clearance, the maximum deformation of the female and male rotors shows a trend of
first increasing
