向农村宣传农业科技的力度，对“科学生活”“地球村”等科学技术普及类版面和栏目进行重点打造，并整合推出了以本土“三农”领域创新性新闻为主要内容的“农业财经”“乡镇风采”“农村党建”等版面和栏目。今年以来，“低碳经济”、“转基因种子”等引发全社会的关注，我报新闻版块抓住主题，推出相应的专题，向广大读者宣传“低碳经济”，倡导“低碳生活”，引导读者冷静、客观认识“转基因技术”带给我们生活的利弊得失。大量的专题策划，为向广大宁夏读者及时的普及科学文化知识发挥了重要的作用。
近几年来，尽管由于面向“三农”服务的特殊性，受发行渠道等诸多因素的制约和影响，承担为“三农”服务的专业媒体的市场在逐步萎缩。《新知讯报》在逆境中扬帆起航，坚守服务“三农”的阵地，在各涉农单位的关心支持下，通过新知讯报社全体同仁的努力，《新知讯报》正逐步走进遍布全区的“农家店”，走进传播科技知识的“农家书屋”，走进我区设施农业、现代农业发展的每个县市（区）的乡镇、行政村及广大农民朋友的家中。同时，我们结合全区“百万农民培训工程”，继续长年出版“百万农民培训工程专刊”，采用自治区各涉农部
