5. 配合供电部门保证高压电力设施，防止盗窃和破坏。
九、农村电工必须具备以下条件：
1. 工作责任心强，热心为人民效劳，热爱农村电气化事业；
2. 身体健康，作风正派；
3. 具有相当初中文化程度，有一定电工知识，熟悉有关规程，掌握根本操作技能和触电急救法。
十、农村电工，须由本人申请，社〔乡〕队〔村〕推荐，县供电部门审查，并经培训考试合格，发给电工证后，才能从事电工工作。
电工应保持稳妥定，更换电工应取得县供电部门同意。
十一、凡未配备电工的用电社〔乡〕队〔村〕，供电部门可不予供电。严禁无电工证的人员从事电工工作，凡无证人员造成事故，除从事处理外，还要追究领导者的责任。
十二、培训和考核农村电工是供电部门应尽的职责和义务。
县供电部门要有方案地分期分批对农村电工进行培训。
县供电部门应做好农村电工的考核和年审工作。每年要对农村电工普遍进行一次考核，考试不及格的要暂停工作限期复试，复试不及格应撤消其电工证。
设备管理
十三、供电部门要根据农村用电季节性特点，开展平安用电大检查，及时消除设备缺陷。在发现险情时应立即停电，限期整修以后，再行送电。进行平安用电检查时可邀请公安政法部门参加。
十四、县供电部门按照规程规定、组织用户对低压电网每年进行一次检、评级和定级工作。并协助社〔乡〕队〔村〕制订整改方案。催促社〔乡〕队〔村〕消灭三类设备。

十五、社〔乡〕队〔村〕管电组织每年要组织农村电工对供电区全部电力设备进行春检和秋检，落实平安措施，堵塞漏洞，预防事故发生。
十六、架空线和接户线要有农村电工负责经常维护，定期进行全面巡视。遇有大风、大雨、大雪和用电顶峰季节，要增加巡视次数，对危及用电平安的设备要及时处理，直至停用。
十七、农村配电变压器低压侧要安装触电保安器，并做好运行维护管理工作。
十八、农村新建上下压电力设施，必须经供电部门验收合格前方可投入运行。
