(1) spend time
／money on sth.
在⋯⋯上花 （金 ） 。
(2) spend time
／money (in) doing sth.
花 （金 ）做某事。
(3) spend money for sth. 花 ⋯⋯。
cost 的主 是物或某种活 ， 可以表示“ ”， 常 用法如下：
sth. costs (sb.)＋金 , 某物花了（某人）多少 。
(doing) sth. costs (sb.) ＋ , 某物（做某事）花了（某人）多少 。 ( 少用 )
例： Remembering these new words cost him a lot of time.

注意： cost
的 去式及 去分 都是
cost,
并且不能用于被 句。
take 后面常跟双 ， 常 用法有以下几种：
It takes/ took sb.＋ ＋ to do 。
doing sth. takes sb.＋ , 做某事花了某人多少 。 ( 少用 )
例： Repairing this car took him the whole afternoon. 他花了一下午修 。
pay
的基本用法是：
(1) pay (sb.) money for sth.
