事实发现者
这里所讲的事实发现者,是指面试官仅仅把自己的提问局限于特定的具体事实信息上,例如“你大学上什么样的课程〞、“你原来公司有多少人〞等等。他们的目的似乎仅仅在于找到一些事实,或者是对其简历上的内容进行一下确认。当然,确认一下这些事实性的信息是必要的,但这样的提问只会控制求职者的反响,而无法将注意力放在他们的求职动机、价值观、能力、个性特征等这些更重要的信息上。
理论家
与事实发现者相反,这类面试官常常会询问求职者做事的信念和价值观,例如“你为什么……〞或“你认为应该怎样……〞此类的问题。这些问题的答案是求职者认为一件事情应该怎样做,而不是他实际上是怎样做一件事情的。这样的结果是只得到了人们为什么做某事的事后合理化解释,而不是实际行为。实际上,求职者的实际行为往往更为重要。
