Abstract Objective To understand the toxic effect of chlorfenapyr against Coptotermes formosanus ． Methods In
，
laboratory toxicity and efficacy of chlorfenapyr against Coptotermes formosanus were determined by using residual film
of termiticide added into filter paper． Contact poisoning action of termiticide in powder and stomach poisoning action of
termiticide in bait and the toxicant transmitting ability were also tested． Ｒesults The LC50 of chlorfenapyr against
Coptotermes formosanus which continuously contacted filter paper with chlorfenapyr＇s residual film was 2. 20 mg /L． The
LC50 of chlorfenapyr powder against termite treated after 72 h was 0. 108 6% ． Termite held some toxicant transmitting
