【评析】本案涉及两个关键问题：
一是劳动合同期满企业是否可以不与劳动者续签劳动合同。根据?劳动法?第二十三条规定：“劳动合同期满或者当事人约定的劳动合同终止条件出现，劳动合同即行终止〞。延续劳动关系需要双方订立新的劳动合同。由于劳动合同订立的原那么是自愿原那么，这也就意味着劳动合同期满时，企业和劳动者都有权不与对方续签劳动合同。该企业不与王某续签劳动合同并不违反法律规定。对这个问题企业〔尤其是国有企业〕还有不少职工没有正确的认识。
二是劳动合同终止时，企业应履行哪些义务。根据?劳动法?的规定，用人单位在终止劳动合同时应履行相应的义务：1、提前一个月以书面形式通知对方。2、应当向劳动者支付经济补偿，其标准为，在本单位工作每满一年发给相当于本人一个月工资的经济赔偿，最多不超过12个月。3、劳动者患病或者非因工负伤，劳动合同期满终止劳动合同的，用人单位应当支付不低于6个月工资的医疗补助费；对患重病或绝症的，还应当适当增加医疗补助费。4、用人单位有义务协助劳动者办理就业登记和失业保险手续等。5、对于劳动者患病，或女职工怀孕、生育和哺乳的，其劳动合同期限应自动延续到医疗期、孕期、产期和哺乳期期满为止。本案中用人单位未履行相应的义务是不对的。此外，该企业对患病职工只发生活费的做法不妥，劳动者应当享受相应的医疗期和病假工资；要求王某自负应由单位负担的社会保险费用也欠妥当。缴纳社会保险费用是用人单位的法定义务，不能随意转由劳动者个人负担。
