“秉烛夜读〞,有的甚至偷偷抽烟,乱扔烟头,埋下火灾隐患,导致火灾事故的发生。多数学生普遍不会使用消防器材，缺乏消防常识，不懂逃生方法。
二、针对存在问题应该采取的对策
一是严格建筑设计防火审核和验收，从源头上把好关。根据新建建筑和情况把好消防设施投入的源头关，把消防平安工作做在前，做在先，做的彻底。在工程验收中，严格按照消防设计对照验收，杜绝先天性隐患的产生。
二是加大消防平安监管力度。学校消防问题不同于一般的消防问题,一旦发生火灾,涉及面大,社会反响强烈,危害后果不可低估。学校要全面贯彻落实公安部61号令?机关、团体、企业、事业单位消防平安管理规定?和各项消防法律法规,将消防平安纳入学校整体管理工作之中,把消防平安工作作为一项经常性的工作来抓，制定相应的消防平安管理制度和措施，加强校内平安检查与巡查，及时发现和排除火灾隐患，同时，消防部门也要加大对学校消防平安的监管力度，定期深入到学校开展消防平安检查，对学校消防平安工作进行指导和帮扶，使他们掌握消防平安检查的重点，不至于提起消防平安工作时才感觉到重要，真正开展自查时却又摸不到头绪。
