【治疗措施】
找出病因以消除病因为主，有感染时常须应用抗菌素，对某些食物过敏时暂且不吃。慢性感染灶常是慢性荨麻疹的病因，但有些荨麻疹病人的病因很难确定或不能发现病因。
，可以控制大多数病人病症，抗组织胺药物虽不能直接对抗或中和组织胺，不能阻止组织胺的释放，但对组织胺有争夺作用，可迅速抑制风团的产生。抗组织胺药有各种副作用，最好选用副作用较少者，尤其高空作业的工人、驾驶员等工人要慎用，易因昏倦而导致事故的发生。久用一种抗组织胺药容易引起耐药性，可另换一种。或交替或合并应用。儿童的耐药性较成人大，因而相对用量也大。

抗组织胺药物的种类很多，结合病情及临床表现可选用安泰乐〔羟嗪〕有良好安定及抗组织胺作用，对人工荨麻疹，胆碱能荨麻疹及寒冷性荨麻疹都有较好的效果。
肾上腺素、氨茶碱能增加肥大细胞内CAMP而抑制组织胺的释放，能迅速促使急性荨麻疹或巨大荨麻疹的风团或水肿消退，尤其氨茶碱和抗组织胺药合用或和肾上腺素有协同作用，对并发哮喘或腹痛的病人尤其适用。
6-氨基乙酸可用于寒冷性荨麻疹和巨大荨麻疹，阿托品或普鲁苯辛及氯丙嗪可用于胆碱能性荨麻疹。
钙剂可用于急性荨麻疹，利血平、安洛血等药物治疗慢性荨麻疹。
类固醇激素应用于严重的急性荨麻疹及血清性荨麻疹，对压力性荨麻疹及补体激活的荨麻疹可用少剂量。荨麻疹并发过敏性休克更须应用。有人应用每隔3～4周注射一次的疗法治疗慢性荨麻疹。
