Good morning / afternoon, sir and ma’am. I’m so glad to stand in front of you all and introduce myself. As you can see in my application form, my name is XXX, a physics major graduated from XX university.
Actually, my self-introduction is just about two questions: who I am and what I want.

I’ll begin with my self-introduction by talking about a little coincidence I find while getting familiar with the glorious history of the university.
Well, my birthday is October 16th 1987. While 68 years before I was born, a private educational institution named nankai, which then turned out to be one of the most prestigious comprehensive universities in China, was founded in Tianjin.
