Preparation of corn stalk skin pulp by auto-catalytic ethanol method
and its properties

Abstract: With bursting, folding, tearing strength, tensile strength, and pulp brightness and coarse pulp yield
as indicators, parameters of holding temperature, holding time, ethanol volume fraction and solid-to-liquid
ratio were optimized, thus the pulping suitability of corn stalk skin by autocatalytic ethanol pulping was
investigated. Then the effect of strength enhancing agents on the papermaking properties of pulp thus
produced was studied. The results showed that corn stalk skin had good adaptability to autocatalytic ethanol
pulping, and the optimum conditions for pulpi
