文档介绍

文档介绍:1 Chapter 17 One-way analysis of variance Business Data file: See Appendix for details of the data file. 1. Conduct a one-way ANOVA with post hoc tests (if appropriate) pare staff satisfaction scores (totsatis) across each of the length of service categories (use the variable seviceagp3 variable). Summary for one-way between – groups ANOVA with post-hoc tests Examples of research question : Is there a difference in staff satisfaction scores for length of service categories? What need: Two variables: · one categorical independent variable with three categories · one continuous variable dependent variable (totsatis) What it does: One-way ANOVA will tell whether there are significant differences in the mean scores on the dependent variable across the three groups. Post-hoc test can then be used to find out where these difference lie. Assumptions: · Normality : the residuals should be normally distributed about the predicted dependent variable scores; · Linearity: the residuals should have a straight-line relationship with predicted dependent variable scores; · Homoscedasticity : the variance of the residuals about predicted dependent variable scores should be the same for all predicted scores. Procedure for one - between-groups ANOVA with post-hoc tests 1. Analyze — Compare Means — One-way ANOVA 2. Dependent List (totsatis) 3. Factor (servicegp3) 4. Options — Descr
