Troop 69 is a “ Boy Run ” Troop – Leadership positions elected by the Scouts ? The leadership makes up the Primary Leadership Council (PLC) for the Troop ? Decision making body for the Troop – Planning for events done by the PLC ? Camp Out events, dates ? Weekly anization ? Events held during the meetings – New elections for Leadership every 6 months Troop 69 Parent Volunteer Opportunities Adults Make the Troop Work ? Adult participation makes the “ Boy Run ” Troop a reality – Coordinate activities based on direction from PLC – Gather resources to make events happen ? Camp Outs ? Training ? Other events – Coordinate with Council ? Permits ? Transportation ? Other – Coordinate with other Troops ? Activities with other Troops ? Camp outs ? With many adult volunteers jobs are easily managed! – Best to have 3-6 Adults assisting with every area – Reduces work-load on any 1 or 2 Adults – Events happen more easily – No one feels they “ must ” participate at every event ?
