目标课程（B）是指学生在修业年限内，通过学****后达到某种能力的课程。目标课程是指公共基础课中的英语、计算机基础知识及应用和高级程序设计语言等课程。目标课程中，英语要求通过大学英语应用能力A级（B级）考试，计算机通过国家或省统一组织的一级考试，即达到目标。
一般课程（C）是指为了拓宽学生的知识面及能力培养、素质提高而设置的课程。
通过核心课程的教学，要保证人才培养的基本质量；通过目标课程的教学，要达到现今社会对人才的两个基本能力的要求；通过一般课程的教学，使学生达到知识面宽、素质高的培养目标。对不同类型的课程采取不同的考核方法，有利于减轻学生负担，为学生提供更多的时间，有利于学生个性培养及创新意识和创新能力的培养。
5、各教学环节课时控制数
（1）课内教学总学时数：理工科不超过1600学时；文科不超过1700学时，各专业校内集中教学活动时间统一为两年加一个月。
（2）为保证学生职业技术能力的培养，三年内实践性教学（包括实验课、上机、实****实训、课程设计、社会调查、毕业设计等）总课时数应占教学总时数的40%—50%（集中性实践环节学时折算：周数×25学时/周）。教学总学时数的计算方法为：
教学总时数=课内总学时+实践环节时数
=课内总学时+实践环节周数×25学时/周
（3）构成专业的主干课程和核心技能实训，应尽可能在第4学期或第5学期的第1个月内完成。安排课程时要考虑周学时，一般不得超过24学时。
